Washing liquid & fabric conditioner

In my 'buy less plastic' drive I've just discovered soap powder in a cardboard box is a THIRD of the price of washing liquid in a plastic bottle!!  Also cider vinegar (with the mother) is so much nicer for your clothes than fabric conditioner. Cost me £3.99 for a glass bottle from my health food shop but has lasted me ages as you don't need much in each wash.

Didn't realise ditching plastic would save so much money!

  1. I put 10ml of the cider vinegar in the washing machine where I would normally put fabric conditioner. I suppose you could use more if you wanted, but I've found that amount works well for me. I have an old metal spirit measure cup which I leave upside down on top of the lid of the bottle which I use as a measure.
